Privacy & consent

Villager collects honest answers about connection and belonging. That only works if you know exactly what happens to them. Here it is in plain language.

01

What we collect

  • · Your name (or whatever you'd like neighbors to call you) and email address.
  • · Your community code, so we know which building you're part of.
  • · Your answers to the Connection & Growth Assessment and any follow-up assessment.
  • · Which lessons you complete, which practices you try, events you RSVP to, and reflections you write.

02

How we use it

Your answers generate your personal Village Profile and the practices we suggest to you. Beyond that, we use the data in aggregate to understand whether the pilot is helping people feel more connected — for example, how average connection scores change between the baseline and follow-up assessment.

03

Who can see it

Your individual responses, reflections, and progress are visible only to you. Property managers and community organizers see de-identified totals and averages for their building — never a single person's answers, reflections, or open-text responses. We do not sell data or share it with advertisers.

04

How it's protected

Data is stored in an encrypted, access-controlled database. Row-level security rules mean an account can only ever read its own records; the organizer reports run through separate functions that return counts and averages only.

05

How long we keep it

Pilot data is retained for the duration of the pilot plus twelve months for follow-up analysis, then deleted or permanently de-identified.

06

Your choices

Participation is voluntary. You can skip any question, stop at any time, and ask us to delete your account and all associated responses by emailing hello@villagerhq.com. Deletion requests are honored within 30 days.
